•Hugh Kinsella Cunningham is a British photojournalist and photographer•
As an independent journalist, I create photographs, videos and writing that documents the stories of extraordinary people in challenging contexts of conflict and trauma.
My recent stories include covering the effects of ongoing conflict in North Kivu, Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, for Save the Children UK and a project, Rituals of Resistance, which looks at Catholic resistance to the Congolese government as the nation moves further towards chaos.
My photographs have been featured and published by major publications and organizations such as The Guardian, BBC News, The Wall Street Journal, Topic Stories, Save the Children UK & Agence France-Presse.
I’m a press card holder with the UK National Union of Journalists & also have a basic background disclosure for work with vulnerable persons.
